The rink is open today after being closed for a couple days due to the weather. There is a bit of freezing rain from today sitting on top of the ice, but that can be shoveled off easily.

Rink Update – 2019-01-31
The rink continues to be open today. Thank you to the volunteers that cleared snow on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Both ice surfaces were flooded last night and the rink is in great shape.
The field house will be open during regular supervised hours except for the following shifts for which we do not yet have a volunteer:
- Saturday, February 2:
- 5pm-8pm
- Sunday, February 3:
- 3pm-5pm
- 5pm-7pm
Rink Update – 2019-01-25
The rink is open again today after lots of volunteers worked yesterday evening and this morning to clear the snow and flood the ice surfaces.
A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped! We had 5 snowblowers going at the same time, and several people shoveling, too. It was an amazing concerted effort!
We need volunteers to supervise the following upcoming shifts:
- 6pm-9pm tonight (Friday January 25th)
- All 3 shifts on Sunday January 27th
- 1pm-3pm
- 3pm-5pm
- 5pm-7pm
The fieldhouse cannot be opened for skaters to warm up unless we have a supervision volunteer.
Rink Update – 2019-01-24
We closed the rink when it started raining yesterday. It is still closed today.
We will need to shovel the snow off the ice once the temperature goes below -5C again – hopefully this evening starting around 8pm – 9pm.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and help shovel the ice surfaces tonight and tomorrow. Once the temperature is right, we need to complete a lot of work before the Winter Fun Day on January 26!
Rink Update – 2019-01-20
Someone came forward and volunteered to supervise for the entire day (1pm-7pm) today. That means the fieldhouse will be open for getting skates on, warming up, and the bathroom.
Please remember to shovel the ice if you use it, including lifting the snow and putting it outside the hockey rink. Leaving any snow on the ice beside the boards degrades the quality of ice there.
