Request for Feedback on Bike Path Proposal

We are happy to support a neighbor – Vincent – who is interested in our community’s feedback on the following bike path proposal:

  • That the city of Ottawa incorporate, in their Master Development Plan, a reserve bike lane along the path represented by the blue trace in the attached picture. In other words, when it is time to re-pave or re-paint the streets along that path, the city would then add painted line of the ground to create a reserve bike lane.
  • The proposal also includes the addition of a bike traffic light at the intersection of Lenester and Maitland to make it easier to cross the street as cars are coming non-stop from the highway exit.

To provide your feedback on this proposal to Vincent, please email him at Laframboise_vincent@hotmail.com.
